The Soul of a Vengeful Man

He had spent the last 30 years of his life hunting down and killing people who had committed murder of men, women and children young and old. Killers who had flaunted the system with crooked lawyers and corrupt judges, who got off without going to prison or spent a minimal amount of time in the cell. But when two cheap hoods broke into his parents house for a home invasion and were stabbed in their sleep and never convicted because of a technicality enough was enough. He now had a purpose in life. He moved methodically by researching quietly each killer who had got off. He worked alone planning and covering all angles and his escape. He had to be careful because the police knew of his parents getting killed which would make him a number one suspect in revenge murders. But the men that killed his parents were now in a different city. He planned his revenge on them but not until his later years in life, just in case he got caught. 

​Now he lie on his death bed in a hospital at the age of 90 with 45 revenge murders to his name. He never killed the two men who murdered his parents and now he would die knowing he never did. 

The priest came into his room and read his his last rites and blessed his body. He asked the vengeful man if he wanted to confess to any sins. He answered, "No." 

He said he had been the victim because his parents had been murdered. He asked the priest where the men who had killed his parents would be going and the priest responded, "Not the same place your going."

Then only moments later the man died in peace.

The next thing he knew he was waiting in line to get into heaven, he couldn't wait to be reunited with his parents. The line up to get in was miles deep. That's when two men about 50 feet in front on him looked familiar. They were the two men who had murdered his parents. "What are they doing trying to get into heaven," he wondered. Suddenly the anger grew in him and he wanted to kill them right there and then. 

The line moved slowly. When he got to the first gate there were dozen of angels sitting at tables with machines. That's when he realized that you had to take a lie detector to get into heaven. He started to get nervous and that's when he realized that his killings were justified. He reasoned that God would understand so it would be okay to lie. He watched as the two men who killed his parents pass the lie detector and proceeded to the next gate. 

The vengeful man then sat down with an angel and the questioning began. He watched as the needle jolted around on the lie detector paper. The angel made a comment that he was nervous but was convinced that he had nothing major to hide.

He then said to the angel, "How did those men get through, they killed my parents. There must be some mistake."

The female angel responded, "That's possible." She then smiled and called for the next soul to come forward.

He had got to the final gate when there was some sort of scanning x-ray machine. After that machine you would be free to go to heaven. The avenger watched as the two men who killed his parents were admitted into heaven. He was next in line for the x-ray scanning machine. The angel operating the machine explained that it was it was the most advanced soul scanner ever invented, 99.9% accuracy rate. It determined the color of your soul. He couldn't stop thinking about his parent's killers and how they got into the gates of heaven. 

He stepped through the gates and a siren went off and he panicked and said, "What happened, I don't understand."

The angel said, "Your soul scanned red. That's means you have blood on your soul. You were tempted and you killed in cold blood. You cannot be admitted into heaven."

He started to trembled and screamed, "Stop the those men they killed my parents."

The angel responded, "Yes, they did kill your parents, but on the soul scanner their souls were shown black. That's means God created them evil, so they're forgiven for their sins and are allowed in heaven. You were born good and chose to become evil. So you're going to hell."

He looked at the two men who killed his parents. They looked back and smiled at him through the gates of heaven.
