Lennie Dunn was born a child and ended up a loser. Born to parents who faked injuries and illnesses just to avoid work and live off welfare and social assistance. His mom was into insurance fraud. She was called a multiple claimant. This meant she had several insurance claims through car accidents. Her scam was simple. She would drive the streets at a slow rate of speed and wait for someone to tailgate her. Then when the car was right on her bumper she would pump the brakes hard and she would get rear ended. She would go to the doctor saying she had a neck or back injury. The claim was filed. All she had to do was wear a neck brace or sit in a wheelchair for a while and the checks would start rolling in.
The father had a number of scams himself. The first one was when Lennie was born and was diagnosed with being slightly handicapped, but the parents didn't believe it. Soon they realized they could get payments from the government to the tune of 30,000 dollars a year to help them support Lennie. Every year Lennie had to go see a doctor. His parents told him to act dumb and pretend that he couldn't read or write. This way the cheques kept coming in. The father never worked and neither did the mother, but they lived well with all of their scams. His main job was shoplifting meat and selling it to restaurants. When he got caught and he would cry and beg a little in front of the judge and he would get off with a few hours of community service as punishment.
But their biggest crime was asking their son, who was now in his forties, to act handicapped so they could receive government assistance. He was allowed to work a job for 20 hours a week at a grocery store bagging groceries, while under observation from his case worker. If he worked anymore than 20 hours his parents would lose the government checks.
After a couple months bagging groceries his mom told him to fake a shoulder injury and go on workers compensation and that was exactly what he did. After several months on worker's compensation he came back to work and then within a couple of days he would fake another injury and go back on worker's compensation again.
During his life Lennie attempted to try other things to make something of himself. But he was beyond lazy. There were only two things he liked to do. Sit and watch the strippers and go to massage parlors and try leave without paying. But one day he got caught by the bikers, who ran the massage parlors, and they gave him a biblical beating that put him in the hospital for a month. At the time Lennie was also was seeing a counselor for his porn addiction.
He hated himself and his parents. He hated the world. He started to steal money from his parents to feed his gambling addiction. He borrowed money from gangsters and couldn't pay it back so he bought a gun to protect himself.
Late in his 40s he started to play the lottery and he had developed extreme nervous anxiety from looking over his shoulder due to the death threats he was getting from gangsters he owed money. Then one day the unbelievable happened.
He was sitting at his computer desk and searched out the lottery numbers. He had won 100 million dollars. He freaked out and panicked and for a reason unknown he pulled his gun out of the top drawer of his computer desk. He put the gun to his temple and pulled the trigger.
