SPECIAL SENSES
AND E.S.P.

It Follows Me

12/23/2020

It started about a year ago out of nowhere. There was no reason for it. It just happened. I wasn't even sure if I was really seeing it or if it was just a figment of my imagination.

Super Vision

He had all the physical skills to become one of the greatest baseball players in history. But it was not his physical skills that separated him from the pack. It was his eyes that did. 20/20 is considered perfect vision but for Harry Honds he was gifted with the vision of a hawk. What was his vision? An amazing 20/08. To put this in perspective, if you can read a sign from 100 feet, Harry would be able to read it from 220 feet. So when this type of vision is applied to the sport of baseball it can be very advantageous because as a batter you can pick up the ball out of a pitcher's hand much quicker than a batter with lesser vision. Once Harry was asked about his super vision and how he saw the ball when he was batting. He claimed that when the ball came out of the pitcher's hand it did not appear like a 95 miles per hour fastball, it seemed like it was going 45 miles an hour. Later on when he was asked about this again he denied it, as apparently he did not want to acknowledge his secrets, wanting to keep his mythical status.

The Summoning

The police had been baffled by a rash of murders that had a similar method of death of a previous serial killer. This previous serial killer's name was Marty Pitman who was also known as The Suffocator. Marty would stalk his victims and he would snuff out their lives with a pillow. The Suffocator would choose his victims based on criminals that were guilty of heinous crimes but because of slick lawyers they got off with minimal or no sentences. The Suffocator was a victim as a child when two men entered his parent's house in a home invasion and in the process of the invasion both of his parents were strangled while still in bed. Little Marty Pitman saw the two men clearly as he peeked out of the closet. When the police came Marty gave them a description of the two men that had killed his parents but when it got to court the defense lawyer started to question Marty, confused him and made him look stupid. The case was thrown out and the last thing that Marty remembered was the slimy defense attorney grinning at him as he left the court room.

Losing His Touch

Josef Stepanik was a man that was born in the former Czechoslovakia and had immigrated to Canada as a young boy with his parents. He did this at the difficult age of five. Back home he had already automatized several languages from his region but now upon his arrival to Canada he had to learn another language that was very foreign to him, a language that had no relation to any Slavic languages. His parents also did not know a word of English which made it a very rough transition for the family. Josef struggled in school and was held back several times until he caught up in the English language. He felt isolated and lonely because he could not communicate with any of the other children. He started off as an outsider and remained an outsider for the rest of his life. Josef was a handsome boy and many girls were attracted to him but his accent scared them and they knew he came from a different world and didn't quite fit in. Josef yearned to go back home where he could go back to a world the was familiar.

My Mother

12/23/2020

When I was a teen living at home with my parents my mom would always make me list of things that she needed for groceries. One must remember that this was during the 1980s when there were no cell phones so a list was all that I had as I made my way to the grocery store. But as I walked to the store my mind began to wander and I would think about all sorts of things. I guess you could say that I was in sort of a daydream. Sometimes when I walked I had the strange sensation that someone was trying to communicate with me through extra sensory perception. The first time that this happened to me I thought that I was merely feeling a sensation that was inexplicable.
