Many years ago I worked with a very pretty girl Amy. She was a girl that had no trouble with men tripping over their feet to get her attention. But what was most unusual about her was the fact that despite having all of these boyfriends she was always the one getting dumped and she did not know why. The only thing that she could think of was that she did not go along with the guys sexual advances which usually occurred on the first date. There was a rumor that she was a major league skank that you could get action from on the first date, but this was not true. She was a good girl. 

She was eighteen years old at the time when she became obsessed with rock stars. It was the 1980s in Los Angeles and for Debbie Penner it was a time of sex, drugs and rock and roll. She was a girl that had grown up on the punk rock of the 1970s and now that music scene had morphed into heavy metal with dozens of bands popping up in the Los Angeles area playing every night on The Sunset Strip. There were two big differences that Debbie noticed from the punk scene to the metal scene. The first one was that the metal bands were getting rich and the second one was that the metal band members were very good looking.
