MIRACLES AND MEDICINE MEN

The Spider

10/22/2020

I had been paralyzed in a car accident from the waist down nearly twenty years ago and despite massive amounts of physiotherapy and treatments I had improved little. Everyone claimed to have the cure to make me walk again but every time I went to see a new specialist I burned through more and more money and got no further ahead with my condition. I believed that there were many out there that knew I was desperate and took advantage of that fact and made promises to me that they knew they couldn't keep and as soon as my money ran out, they ran out. I decided as a last resort that I would travel to Asian Russia for treatment and if it didn't work I would accept my condition for what it was. After my trip to Asian Russia I would be officially bankrupt because of my treatments.
I flew out to Asian Russia, deep into the heart of Siberia where some of the greatest and most notorious medicine men roamed. In Siberia there are literally tens of thousands medicinal plants and herbs that could supposedly cure every ailment known to mankind. I arrived in the summer time and it was extremely hot. My wife and I were greeted by a guide and off we went into the largest area of untouched wilderness in the world. Day after day my wife dragged me in a sled through the wild where we camped out in tents and lived off the land. Several days later we had reached our destination which was a hut that was in the middle of nowhere. I was scared but I realized that the medicine man that I was meeting was one of the best in the world.

He came out of the hut and greeted us in the English language but with a thick Russisn accent. I looked at his fantastic outfit that consisted of fur, beads and various types of animal skins. There were several bells hanging from around his waist belt, and he was wearing a veil over his face. My wife passed out in horror, but minutes later she came to it.

The healer took us inside where we sat down at a table. I looked around the room and there were hundreds of plants, roots and herbs placed in jars. There were also various organs in jars, including brains and hearts as well. He claimed he was doing some kind of ground breaking medical research. Then directly in front of me on the table there were several large containers of spiders, insects, snakes and scorpions. I asked them what they were for and he said the venom was used in treatment. We talked about my condition for about an hour and he suggested that I let myself be bitten by a spider. I was terrified but I submitted and watched as he slipped on a special glove and scooped up the spider from the jar. I tranced at the creature as its legs squirmed in the air. The healer then placed it on my skin. I waited and then screamed as I was bitten. He told me not to panic and said I was okay. Seconds later he sucked some of the venom out of the bite and spit it onto the floor. A couple of hours later I could feel my legs for the first time in twenty years. I was ecstatic and started to cry.

He then told me to lay on the bed where I would receive further spider treatment. He strapped me down and the next thing I knew he opened the lid of a barrel and turned it over dumping hundreds of spiders onto my body. I screamed.

He laughed and said, "If this doesn't make you walk again, nothing will."
