I had once worked with a girl that at first when I met her she seemed nice and friendly but as time passed people at my place of work began to talk about her saying that she was gossipy and would spread rumors about people, some of which were true and others that weren't. She was a beautiful girl so I passed it off as others being jealous of the attention that she received. I was reluctant to believe any of what I had heard until I became a victim.
At the time I was dating a girl in my workplace named Saleen who had the prettiest big brown eyes I had ever seen and a type of untamed beauty that was so natural. What I loved about her the most was the fact she wore nearly no make up. We started dating and things were going well and then all of a sudden one day Saleen came up to me and I could tell by her eyes that she was very upset. She got right up into my face said, "So I heard that you said that I am a slut and that all I am good for is sex."
I looked at her and tried to calm her down but she wasn't having any of it. She wouldn't ever listen to me and then she started to cry. I felt horrible as she walked away. For days I tried to talk to her but she wouldn't give me the time of day. Finally I begged her to tell me what had happened. She obliged and said that she had heard that I was using her for sex, even though we had never had sex. She showed me social media postings that suggested that I had multiple girlfriends at one time. I explained to her none of it was true and told her I would find out who was causing the divide between us. Then one day Saleen went to the washroom at work and came out crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said there was horrible things written about her on the bathroom walls. I went inside the washroom and examined the writing and I could tell that whoever did it was trying to conceal their handwriting by writing with their left hand. By the style of the writing I could tell that it had been done by a girl.
Two days later when I arrived early to work I noticed that back of the store had been spray painted and as I took a closer look I realized that it was multiple obscenities about Saleen. I didn't know what to think. We called the police and they started a file in the form of a harassment charge. The police questioned several of the workers and ultimately made an arrest. It was a girl named Stephania, who I never would have suspected because she was so quiet. As the police were walking her out she passed by me and I asked her why she did it.
She answered, "Because I love you and don't want anyone else to have you."
