There is a graveyard that existed for hundreds of years that was haunted by the resurrection of zombies. Periodically over this period of about 500 years, ever since the graveyard was established, every hundred years or so zombies were said to have walked the earth in this location. Sometimes there would be five or sometimes ten that people claimed to see crawling on the ground trying to find their way out of the graveyard and infiltrate their way into the normal population. But what was so interesting of these zombie sightings was the fact that none of the zombies were walking, they were all crawling. All of the countless witnesses over the centuries said that they saw the zombies from a distance and they were afraid to get close to the graves so they kept away. It was also hard for the witnesses to see exactly what was going on as the sightings were always at night. There was no set time or schedule for when the zombies would come out. People would sit by the graveyard for years and wait for them and nothing would happen. Then it was as if the zombies had a special sense and knew when there was someone around or not and on a day when there was no one in the vicinity they would come out.
The proof though wasn't in what the eye witnesses saw during the night, the proof was what they saw in the day. Someone would usually enter the graveyard to pray to a loved one or to drop off flowers on a grave. And as they entered the yard they were brought into a land of carnage and macabre death. The corpses of the bodies that had dug themselves out of the grave were littered throughout the graveyard. Some of the corpses was either laying on their back or stomach. Some were missing an arm or half a leg while others had no head. It was a ghastly and grisly scene. All of the corpses had crawled their way to the graveyard fence but couldn't make it any further. The corpse would try to climb the fence but could not and there he or she was seen in the morning hanging limpy off the fence.
The groundskeeper of the graveyard was then given the dreadful task of cleaning up the bodies and figuring which grave they belonged to and many times he never could and would merely guess and toss the body into any grave.
Then one night a child about the age of four escaped from his farmhouse and began to walk through the woods to the graveyard. The child heard the sounds of grunting and snorting coming from tombs so he entered and saw the corpses dragging themselves along the earth towards the nearest fence. The corpses seemed to ignore the boy so he moved in to get a better look and that's when he noticed three wild boars digging up fresh bodies and trying to drag them out of the graveyard and into the bush. With his curiosity satisfied, the boy turned around and went home. He told no one what he saw.
