I had seen him walking the street last week and he had something on his head but I was not sure what it was. I didn't think anything of it until I saw him again yesterday around midnight as he was walking down the street with same apparatus on his head. I moved closer to the window to get a closer look and I stared at the top of his head still unable to figure out what was sitting atop it. I quickly got my shoes on and raced out the door to catch up with the man. By the time I made it down to the street he was rounding a corner into an alley. I started to sprint down the street to catch up with him but by the time I made it to the corner of the alley he had vanished. Then a series of howling screams blared from the alley. I quickly hid in a doorway, terrified, waiting to see what was going to happen next. Everything went quiet and all of a sudden there seemed to be nobody around, as if they were hiding too. A few minutes later I heard the sound of sirens off in the distance and I quickly darted through the alley which led onto a dark street. And from here I crawled over a series of fences and just as I was about to sneak into my apartment I felt that there was someone watching me. I turned around and there was the man with the apparatus atop of his head staring at me. He then stepped back into the shadows and I had no thoughts of chasing him.
Day after day I waited for his return. Then one night my wishes were answered as I was going for a walk in the park and I heard a scream of a woman. I listened as her scream was snuffed out. I walked slowly in the direction of the scream and began to pick my way through the woods to see where the noise had come from. Then I saw him emerge from the bush with the apparatus on his head. I was sure that he saw me but within seconds he vanished again. I waited a few minutes before I resumed walking and minutes later I stumbled across the body of a young girl whose face was bludgeoned by some sort of weapon like a hammer or a wrench. I left the scene of the crime and did not call the police.
That night I tried to go to sleep but I was a jangle of nerves. I kept walking over to the window to see if he was out there. For the next several nights the air was void of screams and gradually I was able to resume my normal sleep habits.
A week later I was in the middle of a deep sleep when I felt the bed springs compress on my bed. I opened my eyes and there he was standing overtop of me with a oversized hammer. I looked at his head and he was wearing lenses for glasses and a camera atop of his head. He then pressed a button on the camera atop of his head that said, "Record." He then drilled the claw of the hammer into my forehead.
