Just after World War Two there was a surge in UFO sightings all over North America. There were people that witnessed these sightings and pursed the truth by using pressure tactics against the American government. The government denied any involvement and tried to give the public logical explanations for the events. But when these events began to reoccur the public became skeptical and started to keep close tabs on local military bases. Soon people in the military started to leak top secret information about UFO sightings and experiments. These documents ended up in the hands of the media, who in some cases tried to extort the government. Many of these people disappeared for a period of time. Then unexpectedly these people would return to society with a new change of heart.
There were also other members of the media who chose to publish the conspiracies and cover ups of the government and these men and women were bullied, threatened and intimidated by unknown men. In several cases they disappeared for days and then suddenly reappeared with a change of heart. No longer did they talk about the conspiracies or cover ups they had reported on.
Quickly a conspiracy theory formed about how all of the people who had witnessed the UFOs or alien activity had suddenly stopped taking about it. Why was this so? Where they given money to keep quiet or were they intimidated into shutting up? Whenever these people were asked what had happened and why they quit talking, mysteriously all of them had the same worded answer, "I know nothing about any type of UFOs or Alien sightings, please do not ask me again."
This caused further suspicion amongst the people in the inner circle of UFO or Alien knowledge. People now knew to ask no questions because if they did then they would disappear and come back a different person.
Decades past and slowly many of the people who had mysteriously lost their memories started to regain them and remembered splintered thoughts about the past. They began to recall the UFO sightings and being kidnapped in the middle of the night out of their beds and being taken out to the middle of a desert in some sort of rocky region where they were subject to needles and constant interrogations that lasted for days. The next thing they knew they were back in their beds at home.
Months passed and as the depth of their memories came back several of the abducted persons got together and pooled the knowledge of their memories, trying to figure out what had happened and where they had been taken.
Together they walked through the rocks of the Arizona desert, recalling landmarks when they had been driven out to be imprisoned. They eventually found where they had been taken. How did they know? There was still a mattress, syringes and a chair left behind.
For the survivors they will never know the truth of what happened. The people that conducted the memory experiments were either dead or had merged into society. The strangest thing about the prisoners' memory recall was the fact that none of them remembered a single face of the men who had abducted or injected them.
