I had fallen asleep in a chair in my living room around midnight. I was then awaken by a noise from outside my house, but decided to ignore it as I knew from past experience that strange noises came from outside several times a night. I tried to get back to sleep but the noises in the backyard persisted to the point that I had a feeling something was wrong. I sat up in my chair and shook the cobwebs out of my head. I looked at the wall clock. It was 3:30 a.m. I snapped off the television and slowly raised myself to my feet and exited the living room. I was then stopped in my tracks. The back window that looked out into the yard was covered in what I first thought was red spray paint. I quickly shut off the kitchen light fearing that the perpetrator might still be in the yard and watching me through the lit back window.
After killing the lights I looked out into the yard and I saw that the back gate was open and that there was also a light on in the garage. I studied the red spray paint on the window for a second and noticed that it spelled out a word and that word was "Death To You." I stepped towards the back door and grabbed a flashlight and a baseball bat for protection. With caution I exited the back door into the night.
I swooped my flashlight on the back of the house and the words, "Death To You" were spray painted repeatedly on the house and all of its windows. But as I examined the red paint more closely I realized that it wasn't red paint at all and it was in fact blood. Then there was a crunching noise and the back gate slammed shut. I spun casting my beam towards the gate and there was a hideous looking creature peering overtop of the gate. I was terrified that the creatures face was the color red. I thought it was the devil. I raced towards the fence to give chase and the hideous looking thing took off. As I opened the back gate I noticed that my car and the garage had always been painted in blood.
I turned around the corner of the garage and the thing was about 100 feet ahead and was printing on blood in the snow, "Death To You". That's when I realized that the blood was coming from the hideous thing. After writing these words in the snow he took off again racing down the alley and every twenty seconds or so when he needed a rest he would stop to print the words, "Death To You" in the snow. But after about the third time I noticed that he was slowing down and I was catching up to him. The blood writings in the snow were also less thick and a lighter red. Apparently he was dying. I kept closing the gap and again he stopped to write the words in the snow but they were so faint that I could barely read them. Finally he could no longer run and soon after he could no longer walk and he dropped to his knees and started to crawl. I finally caught up to him and he fell on his stomach. I looked for any possible signs of life or blood and there were none. I flipped him over and shined the flashlight in his face.
He had written all the blood out of his body and was white as a ghost.
