The Writing on the Slab

There is a slab in the middle of a barren stretch of land in Eastern Europe that has been standing for over 3000 years. It is a massive slab of an unknown substance, its weight too heavy to estimate. And on this giant slab there is a type of writing that language experts have no clue as to where it has originated. The slab of the unknown substance was discovered over four hundred years ago by a couple of Estonian hikers. Excited by their findings the hikers reported their findings back to people all over the Baltic states but nobody believed that anything of this nature existed. 

​The Estonian hikers had copied down the writing on the slab very carefully and tried to find out what it meant, but they were laughed at by people said that it was a hoax. Soon after their inquiries revealed skepticism they realized that they had come across something that was unique and decided to commit the rest of their lives to figuring out what the writing meant and where it came from and what the giant slab was made from. Unfortunately for the two Estonian hikers they did not live long enough to answer any of their questions, but they did everything in their power to make sure they passed on as much information as possible to others interested.

There was such great skepticism surrounding the writing and the slab substance that it wasn't until nearly fifty years after their deaths that a scientist looked over their claims and decided to put together a team of scientists to hike out into the remotest parts of the Baltics. When the scientists got there they were flabbergasted at what they saw. It was like nothing that was recorded on scientific record. They examined the giant slab and eliminated the possibility that it was any type of rock. The slab was jammed deeply into the earth and unlike the Estonian hikers the scientists did not think that is was a heavy substance. The scientists confirmed that it was a substance that was not from earth and also came to reason the the so-called mystic writing was not in fact language like many of the language experts had thought, but in fact was super advanced mathematical and physics equations. The same equations later used by some of the greatest scientists in history. The most baffling thing about it all is that many of the equations written on the rock have yet to have their codes cracked, leaving scientists baffled, wondering if the equations hold the key to unlocking some of the universe's greatest mysteries. As for the the giant slab, scientists now know it was part of a bigger structure that had crashed to earth and that the other parts are likely buried deep into the earth's surface. Scientists hope to one day identify the slab substance as technology advances.

The question remains: what hit the earth over 400 years ago and where did it come from and what is its significance? Maybe one day these questions will be answered, but for now they remain one of the earth's greatest ancient mysteries.
